In 2019, the bank launched its women’s proposition – Sara By Wema – at the Songversation with Aramide and has since been a platform to bring women together, while educating and supporting them to reach for financial independence by providing them with resources to compete and succeed.

In celebration of Sara by Wema’s third anniversary and to further solidify its position and interest in creating a better and more promising future for women in Nigeria, Sara by Wema has launched a website where women across the world can connect seamlessly.

The website which boasts of an embedded forum where women can meet, and discuss issues in real-time, is geared towards ensuring that its customers have an opportunity to network from the comfort of their homes or place of business.

Sara by Wema has been specifically designed to grow with women – as their expectations evolve, Sara will too. In light of the increased consumption level of content on-the-go the website will serve as a consistent source of relevant information and resources.

“We need the Nigerian woman to understand that beyond March 8 or even the month of March, her dreams are valid and that no form of bias will stop her.

“Sara by Wema was developed to help provide solutions to some of the challenges and we are proud that this website will serve as another avenue to do just that.”

With Sara by Wema, Nigerian women irrespective of age and socio-economic background, have access to benefits such as low-interest business loans, free SME toolkit, business advisory services, personal development, and business management resources, and access to high-interest savings plans.
