US DHS Releases Deportation List of 124 Nigerians Tagged ‘Worst of the Worst’ Criminals

United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released the names and photographs of 124 Nigerian nationals listed as part of its ongoing immigration enforcement campaign targeting individuals it described as the country’s “worst-of-the-worst” criminal aliens.

DHS, in a statement published on its official website on Wednesday, said the individuals were among foreign nationals arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for alleged serious criminal offences.

The agency said the publication of the names and photographs was aimed at highlighting enforcement actions, although it did not disclose specific timelines for the removal of the individuals.

According to DHS, the move forms part of an accelerated deportation initiative focused on individuals convicted of serious crimes.

“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of worst criminal aliens arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations — starting with the worst of the worst,” the statement said.

The department did not provide a detailed breakdown of the offences linked to each individual or indicate when deportation proceedings would be concluded.

The published register includes names such as Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi, Mkpouto Etukudoh, Marcus Unigwe, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ejike Asiegbunam, Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, Bamidele Bolatiwa and Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, among others.

Other names listed include Aderemi Akefe, Solomon Wilfred, Chibundu Anuebunwa, Joshua Ineh, Usman Momoh, Oluwole Odunowo, Bolarinwa Salau, Oriyomi Aloba, Oludayo Adeagbo and several other Nigerian nationals.

DHS said the enforcement action was part of broader efforts by the U.S. government to remove individuals considered public safety threats.

The publication comes amid heightened immigration enforcement under the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, which has prioritised the removal of undocumented migrants and foreign nationals with criminal records.
