Prophet Itunu Onadeko, fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, has claimed that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Onadeko made the claim in an interview while addressing reports surrounding the circumstances of Osoba’s death.
He also disputed claims that the actress died from complications arising from her previous battle with breast cancer.
According to him, he received a midnight telephone call from an unidentified person informing him that Osoba had died at a police station.
He, however, said he could not confirm the exact police station where the actress allegedly died.
Osoba, who died at the age of 40, had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer and her treatment.
Onadeko also denied reports that the actress was poisoned or maltreated before her death.
He further dismissed allegations that funds donated for her cancer treatment were diverted.
The cleric also rejected claims that Osoba was prevented from driving, saying she drove herself to Iperu shortly before her death.
He said reports that the actress was subjected to degrading treatment, including allegations that faeces or urine were poured on her as punishment, were also untrue.
Onadeko’s claims come amid public interest in the circumstances surrounding the actress’ death and reports concerning her health and treatment.
He urged the public to disregard what he described as unverified allegations surrounding Osoba’s death.
