FRSC Seizes 373 Vehicles with Expired Documents in Kaduna

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) seized 373 vehicles with expired papers, old license plates and without a driver’s license in Kaduna state.

FRSC sector commander in the state, Hafiz Mohammed, told the Nigeria News Agency (NAN) on Friday that the seizure was made during a joint operation in Kaduna, Kafanchan and Zaria.

He added that 252 vehicles were seized in Kaduna, 41 in Kafanchan and 80 in Zaria.

Mohammed stressed the need for motorists to register their vehicles and acquire new license plates.

“We still have cases of motorists with unregistered vehicle papers, including tricycles and motorcycles still plying our roads and committing crimes unnoticed.

“If a registered vehicle is used to commit a crime, we can easily find the person by logging into our database, using the addresses of the offenders.

“Defaulters have ample time to acquire new license plates, driver’s licenses and renew details of their expired vehicles,” he said.

Muhammed said the joint operation would be supported and thanked the stakeholders involved in the exercise for their cooperation. (NAN)
