The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a new “Most Wanted Fraudsters” list, identifying eight individuals wanted in connection with alleged financial crimes involving more than 1.255 billion dollars.
The suspects, comprising six men and two women, are accused of offences ranging from healthcare fraud and wire fraud to money laundering, illegal gambling operations and mortgage fraud.
According to information released by the FBI on Thursday, the largest alleged fraud case involves Herbert Kimble, who is wanted over healthcare fraud estimated at 1.2 billion dollars.
Others on the list include Michael Lizaso Marasigan, wanted for conspiracy to operate an illegal gambling business involving 34 million dollars, and Elaine Angene Escoe, who is sought in connection with alleged wire fraud and money laundering amounting to 32 million dollars.
The FBI also named Christopher Burns, wanted for alleged mail fraud involving 10 million dollars, and Rodney Dean Allen, who faces allegations of wire fraud totalling 7.3 million dollars.
Also listed is Said Abdullahi Ereg, wanted for alleged wire fraud and money laundering involving 4.2 million dollars.
John Michael Dimitrion and Julieanne Baldueza Dimitrion are both wanted in connection with an alleged mortgage fraud scheme involving 1.3 million dollars each.
The FBI said the alleged offences were committed between 2005 and 2021.
In a statement, FBI Director Kash Patel said the publication of the list marked the launch of a new initiative spearheaded by JD Vance aimed at intensifying efforts to combat large-scale financial crimes.
Patel said the individuals featured on the list represented some of those accused of defrauding taxpayers and stealing millions of dollars through various schemes.
According to him, federal law enforcement agencies are deploying all available resources to locate and apprehend the suspects.
“The FBI and our partners are committed to bringing these individuals to justice and ensuring accountability for alleged fraud against taxpayers,” he said.
Patel also thanked interagency partners, Vice President Vance for his leadership of the task force, and U.S. President Donald Trump for supporting efforts to tackle fraud and financial crimes.
The FBI urged members of the public with information on the whereabouts of any of the suspects to contact law enforcement authorities.
