Oyedepo Condemns Kwara Church Attack, Declares Nigeria Will Never Be Islamic Nation

Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has condemned the attack on a Christian church in Kwara State by suspected bandits, insisting that Nigeria will never become an Islamic nation.

Oyedepo, who spoke during Sunday service at Faith Tabernacle, Ota, described the growing violence against worshippers and communities as “unacceptable” and “a direct assault on innocent lives.”

“The Church of Christ in Nigeria is indestructible. The gates of hell cannot prevail against it. Nigeria will never become an Islamic state. Never, never, never,” he declared.

The cleric lamented the killing of five worshippers and the abduction of 35 persons in the recent attack, noting that criminals were demanding huge ransoms from poor communities.

He described the rise in kidnappings as “big-time business” and placed curses on the perpetrators and their sponsors, saying they would face divine judgment.

Oyedepo called on Christians nationwide to embark on seven days of intensive prayers beginning at midnight, stressing that prayer was a spiritual response to the worsening insecurity.

“When this church prays, God hears. All who are baptised in the Holy Ghost will join me in praying extensively in the spirit. By so doing, we are sending angels on a run. In the camp of the wicked, there shall be catastrophes,” he said.

The cleric urged worshippers not to relent in their spiritual responsibility, adding that the church would continue to stand firm against attacks on innocent lives
