ICE Arrests Nigerian National in Texas for Sex Offender Violations

    ICE

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Chinomso Uma Ochie, a 31-year-old Nigerian citizen, in San Antonio, Texas on September 15, 2025, for violations related to his status as a registered sex offender.

In its official statement, ICE emphasized that immigration privileges can be revoked for individuals who commit crimes against children, stating:

“Being allowed to remain in the U.S. is a privilege. Anyone who violates the conditions of their admission by committing crimes against children can be arrested and lose their benefits…”

Ochie’s arrest underscores ICE’s ongoing enforcement efforts targeting non-citizens with criminal records, particularly those involving offenses against minors
