Nigerian billionaire and Senator, Ned Nwoko, has refuted the recent viral claims of domestic violence made by his wife, actress Regina Daniels.
In a detailed statement titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence”, Nwoko dismissed all accusations of violence against him, instead attributing the discord in their marriage to Daniels’ alleged drug and alcohol abuse.
Nwoko claimed that Daniels’ behavior had significantly deteriorated in recent months due to substance abuse, which he said has led to violent outbursts and destruction of property in their home.
According to the senator, Daniels had assaulted three staff members, damaged cars and windows, and even threatened their resident nurse.
A video shared by Nwoko showed shattered windows and other damages reportedly caused by Daniels during one of her episodes.
He further accused two individuals, named Sammy and Ann, of supplying Daniels with drugs and alleged that one orchestrated chaos while he was away attending to their son, Moon, at the hospital.
Nwoko said he set a condition for Daniels to continue rehabilitation either in Asokoro or preferably abroad in Jordan to prevent further access to drugs.
This rebuttal comes days after a video of Regina Daniels crying and lamenting about violence in her marriage went viral. In the emotional footage, Daniels stated, “In Ned Nwoko’s house I am nothing but in my house I am a queen…
“I cannot stand the violence, it’s too much.” The video sparked widespread public concern and accusations of domestic abuse directed at the senator.
The unfolding situation has left fans and the public divided, with many awaiting a response from Regina Daniels on her husband’s allegations.
Meanwhile, the discourse highlights ongoing issues related to domestic violence and substance abuse, themes that continue to evoke strong public attention and calls for societal intervention in Nigeria.
Domestic violence remains a significant concern in Nigeria, with experts describing it as an epidemic affecting people regardless of age, gender, or status.
Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency reports thousands of cases annually, underscoring the importance of addressing these issues comprehensively for the wellbeing of Nigerian families.
The story continues to unfold as the public awaits further developments from both parties.
