Following the close of the call for entry on Friday, September 30, 2022, the Nigerian Marketing Awards (NMA), an awarding body that recognises, rewards, and celebrates outstanding brands in the marketing sector, is proceeding to its shortlisting stages.

With over 100 entries, the award decision council made up of 12 seasoned marketing professionals will pre-score entries to obtain the shortlist. This process will be followed by a more detailed methodology where members of the council will discuss and evaluate entries based on various markers of success.

Entries will be evaluated based on four different key areas that include problems identified by entrants within each sector covered, suggested solutions proffered, delivery and execution of the plan, and performance level of each marketing plan.

To ensure that all aspects of the industry are covered, it has grouped the awards into three different subgroups. It will honour marketing organisations in six different categories, while industries will be honoured in 18 unique categories that cover the communications industry, finance, hospitality industry, and FMCG.

The final category focuses on professionals who have proven their mettle in marketing across various fields. It will recognise them in seven categories, bringing the total number of award categories to 31.

“With a single vision to be recognised as the standard awarding body in the Nigerian marketing industry, we are thorough with the selection process to ensure that the deserving brand is recognised and placed on a pedestal,” a member of the advisory board, Anthony Agenmonmen said.

“We hope that through this process, we will be able to promote healthy competitions which will bring about innovations for the benefit and advancement of all in the sector and beyond” he concluded.

The Nigerian Marketing Awards will hold on Friday, November 11, 2022,  at the Eko Convention Centre of the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos
