Biafra: Justice Binta Nyako Issues Warning to DSS Ahead of Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has moved the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to 1pm on Wednesday, February 16.

This is as she cautioned the Department of the State Services (DSS) against storming and condoning off the court before 12 noon.

Justice Nyako asked the secret police to only take over the High Court security arrangement when the IPOB’s leader trial is set to resume.

According to the trial judge, cases involving other individuals have suffered any time Nnamdi Kanu is scheduled to appear in court due to activities of the DSS.

Justice Nyako accused the DSS of deploying a lot of operatives and blocking roads during the pro-Biafra activist trial.

She disclosed this in a statement sent to the Head of the DSS Legal Service, Naija News reports.

This newspaper reports that the IPOB leader is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony, terrorism, incitement, amongst others.

Nnamdi Kanu had during his last trial introduced Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as the new leader of his defence team, joining Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Aloy Ejimakor and many others.

Recall that Justice Nyako had during the last trial ordered the secret police to allow the agitator change the Fendi designer cloth he has had on since his arrest in July last year.
