English football clubs have, for the first time in history, secured places in the finals of all three major European club competitions in a single season.

History Made! English Clubs Storm All Three European Finals

    All Three European Finals

The historic feat was confirmed on Thursday following semi-final victories by Aston Villa and Crystal Palace F.C., joining Arsenal F.C., which had earlier qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League.

The development makes the Premier League the first domestic league to have representatives simultaneously contesting the finals of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.

Aston Villa overturned a first-leg deficit to defeat Nottingham Forest 4-1 on aggregate and qualify for the Europa League final.

Managed by Unai Emery, Aston Villa will face German club SC Freiburg in the final scheduled for May 20.

The club is seeking its first major trophy in three decades and its first European title since winning the European Cup in 1982.

Crystal Palace also advanced after defeating FC Shakhtar Donetsk 5-2 on aggregate in the Conference League semi-final.

Under manager Oliver Glasner, the club will face Spanish side Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final on May 27.

Crystal Palace is chasing its first-ever European trophy after already winning domestic silverware in recent campaigns.

Arsenal had earlier secured qualification for the Champions League final, completing the Premier League’s unprecedented sweep of all three continental finals.

English clubs came close to achieving the feat in 2025 when Chelsea F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur F.C. won their respective European titles, but Arsenal failed to reach the Champions League final.

Italian clubs also reached all three European finals in 2023 but were defeated in each of the title matches.

The latest achievement reflects the growing dominance of English clubs in European football and revives memories of the 1990 season, when Italian teams swept all available continental trophies. (
