Bayelsa Police Declare Ijaw Influencer Bodmas Kemepadei Wanted for Murder

Bayelsa State Police Command has declared self-styled Apostle Bodmas Prince Kemepadei, an Ijaw social media influencer, wanted for conspiracy and murder in the death of 24-year-old Patrick Peresuodei, following a court-issued warrant.

Police allege Kemepadei, with youths and NSCDC personnel, abducted Peresuodei and his brother Destiny from Amassoma on January 15, 2026, over Facebook threats; both were tortured at Kemepadei’s Yenagoa residence (ICCH Centre, Tenacious Street, Ede-Epie). Destiny was released, but Peresuodei died in custody on January 28 from injuries.

A ₦1 million bounty from activist VeryDarkMan has viralized wanted posters, prompting Governor Douye Diri to direct the Attorney General’s oversight; public urged to report sightings to CP office (0803 358 0244) or stations—harboring warned against prosecution.

Kemepadei’s last address is listed; investigations continue with NSCDC arrests amid public outrage.
