    NDLEA Officer Killed in Rivers Drug Raid, Six Suspects Nabbed

    National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives raided the notorious Ama Hausa drug enclave on Bonny Island, Rivers State, on February 6, arresting six suspects and seizing cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, skunk, and tramadol.

    Tragically, Chief Narcotic Agent Sadiq Bako Mujahid died from severe head injuries inflicted by armed hoodlums mobilized by gang leader Genesis George Benson during the violent confrontation.

    Other suspects nabbed include ThankGod Okon, Shamsudden Isah, Muhammed Musa, Adamu Muhammed, and Muhammed Yusuf. Despite the attack, officers overpowered the criminals, securing the illicit cache from the known crime hub.

    NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) saluted the team’s bravery, vowing severe repercussions for assaults on personnel and reaffirming the war on drug merchants.

    He mourned Mujahid as a courageous patriot, extending condolences to his family and the Rivers Command.
