    Lagos Gov’t Staff Quarters Ogba Gutted by Fire

    Lagos State Government Staff Quarters situated at Odunsanmi Street,in Ogba area of Lagos was gutted by devastating fire in the early hours of Friday, August 30.

    The blaze, which started around 2:20 am, severely damaged part of a two-story residential building within the complex.

    Ravenewsonline reports that initial investigations by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) indicated that the fire originated from an electrical surge in the children’s room of Flat 5, Block 21.

    The fire completely consumed the children’s bedroom, destroying properties worth millions of naira.

    Dr Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, reported that the quick intervention of the agency’s response teams, along with the Nigerian Police Force and Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, successfully contained the fire, preventing further spread. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

    Emergency responders have remained at the scene to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
