Senate on Tuesday, October 31, approved the nomination of Mr Zak Adedeji as Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Appearing at the upper chamber for his screening on Tuesday, Adedeji said he will improve the nation’s revenue, and most of the tax leakages in the oil and gas sector would be halted.

Before his appointment, Tinubu had directed the former FIRS Chairman Muhammad Nami to proceed on three months of pre-retirement leave.
