MTN Nigeria unveiled the potential of its 5G network at the Omniverse Summit 2025, held from February 25th to 28th at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos.
This four-day event, centred on “Unified by Vision & Empowered by Collaboration,” showcased Africa’s digital landscape. MTN Nigeria, a leading telecommunications company, emerged as a driving force behind the continent’s technological advancement.
The summit, held at the Landmark Event Centre, brought together over 20,000 attendees from more than 20 countries, including creatives, industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to explore narratives about Africa and collaborate on shaping the continent’s future.
MTN’s presence was marked by insightful discussions on digital inclusion, 5G expansion, and AI-driven solutions tailored for the African market.
As one of the event sponsors, MTN Nigeria demonstrated how 5G technology can revolutionize the gaming industry. The marketplace area, one of the summit’s key engagement spaces, featured an array of cutting-edge tech devices offering attendees the opportunity to interact with representatives and gain insights into how connectivity can enhance their gaming experiences.
The Gaming Area, another key highlight at the event, engaged attendees with a dynamic selection of games, allowing guests to play and compete.
Attendees had the opportunity to partake in 5G speed demonstrations, online gaming, virtual reality, and other interactions.
The summit also featured various other engagement spaces, including the Main Stage for panels and keynote presentations, the Experience Zone for immersive exhibitions and workshops, the deal room where startups and entrepreneurs could meet to negotiate, and potentially close deals; and the career centre for participants to find expert advice on career advancement, industry transitions, and job opportunities.
