MTN Nigeria has confirmed a service disruption affecting some of its subscribers in Lagos, Oyo, Rivers and Delta states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), RaveNewsOnline reports.
The telecommunications company disclosed the development in a statement posted on its official X account on Thursday, noting that customers in the affected locations might experience difficulties accessing some of its services.
“Network Outage Alert! We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT and Delta States and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result,” the company stated.
MTN said its technical team had been deployed to address the problem and restore services as quickly as possible.
“Our engineers are working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the company added.
In a follow-up message, MTN apologised to customers impacted by the disruption and assured them that efforts to resolve the issue were ongoing.
“Dear Customer, We are aware some of our customers are having challenges using our services. Our engineers are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” the telecom operator said.
