Lagos Police Arrests Two Suspected Kidnappers With Dead Children Stuffed Inside Sack

The operatives of Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspects over the abduction and death of two school children in the state.

According to reports, the suspects were nabbed at Jibowu axis of Lagos State on October 4, 2021 with the dead children stuffed inside a sack.

It was gathered that the victims were abducted while on their way home from school and died out of suffocation before they could be rescued.

Luck was said to have ran out on the suspects when the vehicle they boarded was flagged down by police officers on routine stop-and-search duty at Jibowu.

The restless behavior of the kidnappers upon sighting the officers led to the decision of the operatives to search the vehicle.

Sources disclosed that the suspects offered the policemen an undisclosed amount of money as a bribe to prevent them from searching the vehicle but they refused.

The sack was eventually found hidden in the booth of the vehicle and upon close inspection, the dead children were discovered with their hands, legs, and mouths tied.

Upon their arrest, the suspects and the driver of the vehicle were transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigations.
Meanwhile, the parents of the victims have been contacted to come and identify their wards.
