IGP Presents Checks for 6.5M Naira to 14 Families of Deceased Police Officers in Kaduna

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. Usman Alkali presented checks worth 6.5 million naira to 14 families of deceased police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in Kaduna State.

Kaduna Command Police Commissioner Umar Muri handed over the checks to the IGP on Thursday in Kaduna.

A statement issued by command spokesperson ASP Mohammed Jalige said the money came from “IGP family health insurance.”

Alkali said the insurance policy was aimed at supporting the families of the deceased police officers who died defending the country.

“The initiative is not only to support the immediate families of fallen heroes, but also to boost the morale of other valiant officers who are on active duty in every nook and corner of the country.

“So that they do more to recover public spaces, because their well-being remains essential for the current administration of the Force,” he added.

The IGP advised beneficiaries to use the money wisely to improve their financial situation and provide for their children.

The beneficiaries appreciated the gesture granted by the Inspector General of Police and prayed for its success.
