Heineken Thrills Fans to Magical Night of Football & Music in Enugu

Football fans in Enugu were treated to a night of football, drinks and food as they watched the UEFA Champions League semi-final match between Real Madrid and Manchester City on Wednesday 4 April 2022 at Villa Toscana, courtesy of International Premium Beer Brand, Heineken.

The highly anticipated clash lived up to expectations as the 13-time champions left late in the match to turn things around against the title hopefuls. The cheers from the hundreds of fans at the Heineken viewing venue rang through the air after what was truly a dramatic night of football.

Coming into the game with a loss from the first leg, the Los Blancos had it all to do against a Manchester City side who lost last season’s final and were hoping to make back to back appearances in the UCL finals. And just when it seemed all was over, Carlo Ancelotti’s men who know all about featuring in back to back finals fired in two late goals in the 90th-minute. With that, the match continued into extra-time where Karim Benzema scored a penalty and the crowd erupted in joy.

The excitement in the air continued after the match when afrobeat artist Ruger took the centre stage and performed his hit singles, with “Shody the Turnup King” hyping the crowd and DJ CrowdController on the wheels of steel. There were a lot of delicious snacks and finger food for fans along with ice-cold Heineken to add to an already ecstatic atmosphere at the Toscana.

The excitement of the Heineken #CheersToAllFans continues when Liverpool meet Real Madrid at the Stade de France on Saturday, 28 May 2022 for this season’s UEFA Champions League Final.
