    Glo Partners Supersport on Live Transmission of 2021/22 EPL Matches

    With the 2021/22 English Premier League season starting on Friday 13 August, 2021, football fans in Nigeria and Ghana have been assured of live broadcast of football matches on the Supersport channels of DSTV all through the season.

    In a statement in Lagos on Thursday, Corporate Supporter of Football in Africa, Globacom which has been sponsoring live broadcast of matches on Supersports since 2013/ 2014 season, said all the 380 fixtures will be broadcast live until May 2022 when the league will be rounded off and the winner crowned.

    “The fabulous joy the game brings to football fans on the continent underscored why we have consistently sponsored the live broadcast on Supersports since 2013/ 2014 league season”. Globacom said.

    It added that “A major attraction for football lovers on the continent is the English Premier League, and our sponsorship of live broadcast of thematches is aimed at giving more value to our subscribers and the public at large and ensuring that they watch every match from the comfort of their homes or viewing centres”

    Club sides in the English League have been busy reinforcing their teams ahead of the new season.

    European Champions, Chelsea have successfully transferred Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in Italy, while Jadon Sancho joined Manchester United from Bundesliga team, Borussia Dortmund. Manchester City also signed Aston Villa’s Captain, Jack Grealish to add firepower to its attack.

    Meanwhile, the first match of season comes up on Friday at Brentford Community Stadium, West London where Arsenal will trade tackles with recently promoted Brentford FC.
