Buhari Expresses Outrage over Gulak’s Murder

President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his outrage and disgust at what he called “the heinous murder” of Adamawa politician Ahmed Gulak in Owerri by gunmen who have not yet been identified.

The president reacted on Sunday in a statement issued by his senior special assistant in charge of media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu.

“I am repelled by this premeditated and horrific murder of Gulak by evil people determined to undermine the peace, unity and territorial integrity of our country.

“Let me warn, however, that no one or group of people who engages in such a despicable act should expect to be released.

“We will deploy all resources at our disposal to ensure that these callous and criminal elements are brought to justice,” the president said.

Buhari expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, to the people and government of Adamawa, as well as to Gulak’s friends and associates across the country.
