Adeboye Urges Strategic Action on Security, Suggests 90-Day Ultimatum for Service Chiefs

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has called on the Nigerian government to adopt swift and strategic measures to address the country’s worsening security situation.

Speaking during the November Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp, Pastor Adeboye said if he were to offer advice, he would urge the government to diplomatically engage the President of the United States to delay certain unspecified actions for 100 days.

He said the window would allow Nigerian authorities to focus on tackling terrorism decisively.

“Within that time,” Adeboye said, “the security chiefs should be given a clear directive: end terrorism within 90 days or resign.”

The cleric, widely respected for his spiritual leadership and measured public commentary, did not elaborate on the nature of the U.S. actions he referenced but emphasized the need for urgency and accountability in Nigeria’s security architecture.

His remarks come amid rising concerns over persistent attacks by insurgents and bandits in various parts of the country.
