According to him, the new centre branded, “The Green World” is a one-stop shop for all quality and mobile accessories. Okonkwo also emphasised the company’s commitment to quality, durable and affordable products.

Speaking on the proposed factory, he said, “Nigeria has come of age with a teeming population of tech savvy young professionals and educated youths that can accommodate the siting of the largest mobile technologies production factory in Africa.”

Also present at the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Emeka Offor, Acting Executive Secretary of Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), commended the company’s decision to invest in Nigeria, while acknowledging its contribution to economic growth and human capital development through direct foreign investments.

He reaffirmed federal government’s commitment to sustained reviews and implementation of sound corporate and financial acts that will keep Nigeria as the investment hub of choice in Africa.

The time has come for production to be predominant in Nigeria, and from here, we will export to other African nations and the entire world. This is the aspiration of President Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR and we will give it every support required,” Offor said.

Customers who thronged the centre where treated to a musical performance by sensational Pheelz and prodigy saxophonist, Temilayo Abodunrin. Gift items were also distributed to the excited crowd.
