Western Digital has unveiled external storage options for iPhone 15 series, enabling users to connect a variety of external accessories such as monitors, displays, microphones, and external storage devices.

The tech company in a press statement explained that the price of a smartphone goes up significantly with each storage tier.

“Thankfully, you can now opt for flash drives which are affordable and allow you to seamlessly transfer and store data from your iPhone,” it stated.

The company disclosed that the affordable and handy flash drive with USB Type-C and Type-A connectors enables iPhone 15 users to easily move files between iPhone 15 and other devices. “It offers a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface coupled with a read speed of up to 400 MB/s** for quick file transfers. This flash drive is available up to 256GB* capacity in absinthe green, lavender and navagio bay, and up to 1TB* capacity in black.

“The all-metal 2-in-1 flash drive with reversible USB Type-C and Type-A connectors that is available in gold and silver; the SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe is equipped with two connectors to easily move files between your USB Type-C™ and Lightning devices, including iPhone, iPad Pro, Mac, and Android™ phones. This device offers an easy way to free up space on your iPhone– simply plug in the drive and reclaim space without the need for an internet connection. Available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities,” it stated.

With the iPhone’s support for the USB Type-C connector you can directly connect an SSD, using it as external storage, and start recording high-definition videos right on to your portable SSD. External SSDs, available in capacities up to 4TB*, are an ideal storage solution for capturing videos on the iPhone 15 Pro, the management stated.

Western Digital however listed other products which include the SanDisk, iXpand, My Passport, SanDisk Extreme, and SanDisk Ultra, which are all registered trademarks of Western Digital Corporation or its affiliates in the U.S. and/or other countries.
