Ukrainian Sniper breaks world record with 13,000-foot kill shot against Russian forces

A Ukrainian sniper unit has reportedly broken the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill, striking Russian troops from a distance of more than 13,000 feet.

The shot was carried out with a Ukrainian-produced 14.5 mm “Alligator” rifle, supported by artificial intelligence and drone guidance. According to military reports, the strike on August 14 left two Russian soldiers dead in the area of Pokrovsk, Ukraine.

The record-breaking operation came amid intensified Russian attacks around Pokrovsk, once home to more than 60,000 residents.

The previous world record was held by another Ukrainian sniper who eliminated a Russian soldier from approximately 12,400 feet using a high-tech rifle known as “Horizon’s Lord.”

The historic shot occurred just a day before the high-profile summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is preparing to meet with Trump in Washington, DC on Monday, where the two leaders are expected to discuss strategies to end the ongoing war.
