Over 100 Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs Poised for Global Expansion After FoundryforHER Bootcamp

More than 100 Nigerian women entrepreneurs have been equipped with the tools and strategies to scale their businesses globally following the successful completion of the FoundryforHER Bootcamp, a transformative initiative aimed at accelerating women-led innovation across emerging economies.

The bootcamp, which concluded this week in Lagos, was organized through a strategic partnership between InDrive’s Aurora Tech Award and The Nest Innovation and Technology Park.

It brought together a curated cohort of visionary female founders from diverse sectors including technology, fashion, agriculture, health, and education.

The intensive programme featured immersive workshops, mentorship sessions, pitch training, and access to funding opportunities, all tailored to address the unique challenges faced by women in business.

Speaking to Ravenewsonline, Edwina Abah, one of the participants, described the bootcamp as a game-changer in her entrepreneurial journey.

“From storytelling to structure, every session reshaped how I think about building and communicating as a founder. It left me with a clear truth: our stories, systems, and structures must work together. That’s how we build ventures that inspire belief and attract opportunity,” she said.

Another participant, Zusi Inegbeniki, Founder of FoundexAI, expressed gratitude for the experience, noting that the programme provided real value in areas critical to business growth.

“The past few days have been empowering, educational, and exciting. There was so much strength in community and so much real value gained — from learning how to pitch and communicate our message, to developing fundraising strategies, refining personal branding, and positioning ourselves for growth,” she said.

The bootcamp selection process emphasized innovation, scalability, and social impact, aligning with the values of the Aurora Tech Award, which celebrates women founders driving change through technology.

Following the bootcamp, participants will engage in a two-week post-program mentorship led by prominent industry leaders, including Folake Owodunni, Founder of Emergency Response Africa. Owodunni, known for her pragmatic approach to leadership, shared her perspective on navigating bias in business.

“I rarely focus on it because I don’t have the time. I’m just trying to make things work,” she said during a fireside chat with the cohort.

The Nest Innovation and Technology Park reiterated its commitment to fostering inclusive innovation ecosystems, while InDrive’s Aurora Tech Award continues to spotlight and support women-led ventures making a difference in their communities.

Participants are expected to leverage the insights and connections gained from the bootcamp to scale their ventures, attract investment, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic development.
