NFF and Sports minister unveils Finidi George as Super Eagles coach; names Amokachi, others as assistants

Nigeria Football Federation has unveiled former Ajax star Finidi George as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

Finidi was appointed two weeks ago, but on Monday, May 13, he signed his contract at a ceremony where NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau, and the Sports Minister John Enoh unveiled him as the new Eagles boss.

NFF also announced that Finidi would be assisted by his former Super Eagles teammate, Daniel Amokachi, and former Shooting Stars player Benjamin James, who is based in Germany.

Mehmet Ozturk will serve as an analyst, and the Netherland-based fitness trainer Chima Onyeike, who has worked in Russia, Germany, and Greece, will also assist Finidi.

Olatunji Baruwa will return as the goalkeeper trainer, according to the NFF.
