NAF FC Dethrone EFCC FC to Win 2021 FCT Men’s Aiteo Cup

On Sunday in Abuja, NAF Football Club beat EFCC FC 3-1 on penalties to win the 2021 FCT Men’s Aiteo Cup competition.

The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports that the match played on the Zone 3 pitch saw the two teams fight hard but failed to convert their scoring chances.

Speaking after the match, NAF FC coach Yakubu Sambo said he was happy to win the FCT Aiteo Cup.

“I feel good and I was hoping this opportunity presented itself. This is not the first time that we have represented the CTF in the National Cup competition.

“We promise our fans that we won’t let them down. We will be the pride of FCT in the national competition.

“We know that we are going to meet some giant teams in the national competition, but we will fight well to win our games,” said the coach.

EFCC FC coach Kabiru Adeyemi said it was unfortunate that they lost the final match.

“We fought hard in the competition but couldn’t score our shots on goal in the penalty shoot-out.
