Maiden Edition of The Converge Blockchain Meetup holds July 19th, 2021.

The blockchain ecosystem in Africa continues to evolve as more and more individuals, organizations and governments embrace blockchain technology.

A recent post published by the secretariat of the African Union states, “Blockchain technology can support Africa’s financial digitalization and this digital revolution can rescue numerous of Africa’s economies.

Such a digitalization process is effectively enhancing service delivery with certain products and services through efficient institutional digital processes and data management technologies.”

According to AI and Blockchain expert, Lavina Ramkissoon, Blockchain technology continues to revolutionize industries across the globe and Africa must not be caught napping. This is the time to position the continent properly to take full advantage of the possibilities.

Blockbuild.africa believes that the emerging technology will be key to Africa’s development. It is for this and a few others that The Converge Meetup by Blockbuild.africa was born.
The Converge Meetup is a quarterly Blockchain and Crypto ecosystem that aims to expose the ongoing innovations in the ecosystem was born.

Confirmed industry leaders that will be in attendance include Chuta Chimezie, Founder, Blockchain Nigeria User Group; Lavina Ramkissoon, Director, Founder Institute SA & Advisor to African Union; Obinna Iwuno, Founder, The Crypto Bootcamp & Executive Secretary, SIBAN; Adedeji Owonibi, Founder, Convexity; Muthoni Njogu, Managing Partner, Njogu & Associates and Ugochukwu Aronu, Founder, XendFinance.

This maiden edition with the theme ‘Understanding the Blockchain Revolution’ with the sub-theme ‘Crypto Currencies and Africa’s Rapid Development’ will be held via Zoom on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 11am (WAT). It is supported by SIBAN & BNUG.

The Executive Secretary of SIBAN, Obinna Iwuno, said “SIBAN being the foremost and most active blockchain association on the continent is happy to support The Converge and we do this knowing full well that the industry needs this to attract more enthusiasts, developers and users to its fold.
