The suspect enlisted social media influencers to promote her sham deals, luring buyers who paid upfront but received excuses, delays, or no delivery whatsoever, a police source disclosed to newsmen on January 7, 2026.

During interrogation, Bamisade admitted deploying influencers to attract clients online, with her arrest triggered by one promoter who grew suspicious after customer complaints flooded in.
