    Joy Unlimited Extravaganza Promo: Oyo, Anambra Officials Applaud Glo

    Globacom has been commended for its innovations which have given Nigerians new opportunities in the nation’s telecommunications industry.

    Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, made the commendation in Ibadan on Thursday during the second prize presentation exercise in the on-going Glo’S Joy Unlimited Extravaganza promo which has so far produced 7 winners of brand new cars and thousands of home appliances winners across the country.

    According to him, “Glo is the leader of the revolution witnessed in the industry. Glo introduced Per Second billing which became a game changer in the telecommunications market in Nigeria.”

    Also in the commercial city of Onitsha where another prize presentation event was held on Thursday, Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue commended Globacom for putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians through the opportunity to win different prizes. The commissioner also congratulated the winners for being fortunate among millions of subscribers on the Glo network.

    The Onitsha event which was held at Gloworld, Bridge Head saw Anierobi Chinedu John, a 23-year old businessman drving home a brand new Kio Rio car while the star prize in Ibadan was won by Mutiu Owolabi, an auto mechanic at the second prize presentation held at Gloworld , Iwo road.

    “This Christmas gift just came at the right time. I am very grateful to Globacom for this wonderful opportunity. They have made possible what ordinarily looked unachievable.

    “This year, I had never dreamt of becoming a car owner, let alone a brand new one. I do not know how to express my joy.” said a very delighted John, who explained that he thought it a scam when he received the call informing him about winning the car.

    On his part, Owolabi who could not believe it when the keys were handed over to him and he ignited the car engine said “I never knew God had prepared such a beautiful end of the year gift for me”,

    Hundreds of Nigerians also went home with different home appliances in the two cities as the Globacom train moves to Kaduna and Uyo to present prizes to another set of Nigerians in two days times.

    Globacom’s Regional Manager, Activations, West, Operations, Mr. Abidemi Emmanuel who spoke in Ibadan thanked Globacom’s subscribers for being the company’s companions in its 18 years of existence. He explained that the Ibadan presentation is the second to be held in the city in a series of ceremonies already lined up by Globacom to put smiles on the faces of subscribers through the consumer reward promo.

    According to him, the event was in fulfillment of the promise made when the promo was unveiled a few weeks ago, adding that it was in confirmation of the company’s resolve to constantly add value to the lives of subscribers on the network.

    In his remarks in Onitsha, Nwafor Ramsey, Zonal Head, Licensing and Operations of the Enugu Zonal office of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, congratulated the lucky winners, and commended Globacom for introducing the promo for the benefit of its subscribers.
