The Globacom-sponsored CNN International’s programme, African Voices Changemakers, will this weekend delight its viewers with inspirational stories of two outstanding South Africans, a textile designer and a stylist.
The 30 – minute magazine programme will be aired at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday on CNN on DSTV Channel 401, while repeat broadcasts come up on Sunday at 4.30 a.m., 7.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m. and 7.3.0 p.m. and on Monday at 5.30 a.m.
The guests include Sindiso Khumalo, a textile designer and Wendy Ntinezo, a stylist.
Khumalo who lives and works in Hackney, East London, is a specialist in women textile design. She has successfully partnered non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in various parts of Africa in developing new textiles for her collections.
In 2012 she was shortlisted for the Elle Magazine Rising Star Competition where her debut SS13 collection was showcased. Also in 2013, the Design Indaba, Cape Town nominated Khumalo’s Aretha Dress for “Most Beautiful Object in South Africa”
The second guest, 25-years-old Ntinezo, is a Johannesburg-based actress, widely regarded as a style icon with large African youth followership. She is also the founder of Black Merge TV as well as a mental wellness advocate.
Ntinezo who recently launched “Conversations We Never Had”, a television show which harps on living, religion and spirituality is also content creator and producer.
