#IWD2026: LOPE Chairman Mmadubugwu Lauds Women’s Barrier-Breaking Media Legacy

The Chairman of LOPE Media Network, Mmadubugwu Justice Nonso, has joined the global community in celebrating women across the world as part of activities marking the 2026 International Women’s Day.

In a press statement released on Saturday, the LOPE Media Network Chairman praised women for their resilience, strength, and immense contributions to societal growth, while encouraging them to continue breaking barriers and inspiring positive change.

Mr Justice noted that women remain central to progress in communities, industries, and particularly in the media landscape, where their voices continue to shape conversations and influence public discourse.

“Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere. Women continue to break barriers, lift others, and shine their light in ways that transform societies,” he said.

According to him, LOPE Media Network – a united platform for publishers, bloggers, and editors – recognizes the vital role women play in building a vibrant digital media ecosystem and advancing storytelling that promotes development and inclusion.

He stressed that empowering women and amplifying their voices should remain a continuous commitment beyond the annual celebration.

“As a network committed to strengthening the digital media space, we believe women storytellers, journalists, editors, and content creators deserve platforms that allow them to thrive, collaborate, and lead,” he added.

The LOPE Chairman further commended women who continue to create opportunities for others, describing their impact as crucial to building a more balanced and progressive world.

International Women’s Day is celebrated globally every March 8 to recognize the achievements of women and advocate for gender equality.

Justice concluded his message by wishing women around the world a meaningful celebration, noting that their contributions continue to make the world a better place.

“Happy International Women’s Day to women everywhere. Your impact is profound, and the world is better because of you,” he stated.
