Federal Government has moved the evaluation and authentication of academic certificates online, ending the need for applicants to visit the Federal Ministry of Education physically.

The ministry disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs Boriowo Folasade.

The Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa, said applicants could now complete the evaluation and authentication of their academic certificates through the ministry’s dedicated online platform.

Alausa said the initiative was a major step in the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda and aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the new system is designed to reduce delays in processing applications and make the service more accessible to Nigerians and applicants residing outside the country.

He said the digital platform would also enable institutions, employers and other relevant bodies to verify academic qualifications through a more structured process.

The minister said the initiative would improve efficiency and enhance access to government services by reducing the need for physical visits to the ministry.

The ministry urged applicants to make use of the new online platform for certificate evaluation and authentication.
