    ESET Receives AfriTECH CyberSecurity Company of the Year Award

    ESET received much accolades from guests and honourees at the Africa Tech Alliance Forum (AfriTECH 2.0) Awards as the company was conferred with CyberSecurity Company of the Year Award.

    The awards ceremony was part of activities lined up for AfriTECH 2.0 held in Lagos – Nigeria, on November 09, 2022 2 under the theme: ‘Sustainability and the Company of the Future’.

    Africa Tech Alliance Forum awards ceremony aims to celebrate and reward companies and individuals on the African continent that have demonstrated excellence in the areas of innovative product/service development, policy/regulations, amongst other areas.

    To this end, Mr. Chike Onwuegbuchi, the co-convener of AfriTECH 2.0 and Awards, said that the awards screening committee identified ESET for its innovative solutions towards protecting individuals and businesses through robust security products, services, and awareness creation in Africa.

    For more than 30 years, ESET has been developing industry-leading IT security software and services to deliver comprehensive, multilayered protection against cybersecurity threats for businesses and consumers worldwide.

    In response to the award, Mr. Olufemi Ake, Managing Director, ESET West Africa (Anglophone), said that ESET has long pioneered machine learning and cloud technologies that prevent, detect and respond to malware hence it is trusted by agencies and companies in the regions such as Google, Dangote Group, the Lagos State Government, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), amongst others.

    Mr. Ake pledged ESET’s continued innovation in safeguarding Africa’s digital economy architecture.

    On his part, Mr. Soledayo Olabanji, Manager, Strategic Partnership and Marketing, ESET West Africa – who represented the Managing Director at the event – said that ESET has protected more than one billion internet users worldwide, servicing 400,000 business customers in over 200 countries and territories, with 13 global Research and Development Centres.

    He mentioned additional services that distinguish ESET from peers, such as Multilayered Endpoint Security, Storage and Backup Solution, Identity Theft Prevention Solution, Data Loss Prevention and Productivity Monitoring Solutions, Network Traffic Protection, and other security services.
