Kabiru Adeyemi, head coach of EFCC Football Club Abuja, is confident his team will retain the FCT Aiteo Cup.
The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports that EFCC FC, which qualified for Sunday’s last match of the 2021 competition, won the 2019 edition with no competition taking place in 2020.
Adeyemi told NAN that nothing will stop his team from winning the final match on Sunday.
“My players are ready to work hard to win the last game, which is our goal in this year’s Cup competition.
“They have played well in all of their games since the start of this competition.
“We have won the Cup three years in a row. Back then, I was the assistant coach, but now, as the head coach, I will not fail in this duty.
“The final match has to be won because we have what it takes to lift the trophy.
“We will fight well to win the final match and make the EFCC management proud,” said the coach.
He noted that the EFCC management had done the necessary things to keep the team comfortable in all of their matches.
“The management supported the team materially, physically, morally and financially.
“What we can do in return is win the final match so they can be proud of us and give us more support,” added Adeyemi.
NAN reports that EFCC FC will face NAF FC in the final game on Sunday at Zone 3 pitch.
Sixteen clubs registered for the 2021 FCT Aiteo Cup competition.
