DSS Dismisses 115 Personnel, Warns Public Against Fraudulent Impersonation

    DSS

Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed a total of 115 personnel as part of its ongoing internal reforms aimed at sanitising the agency and strengthening public trust.

The Service disclosed this in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, warning members of the public against engaging with any of the dismissed individuals.

“As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period,” the statement read.

The DSS noted that some of the dismissed individuals, including Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, have continued to pose as active operatives, engaging in fraudulent activities.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealing with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service,” it added.

The Service said the names of the dismissed personnel have been published on its official website for public reference.

It urged citizens with enquiries or complaints to contact the DSS via telephone on 09088373515 or email at [email protected].

The DSS reiterated its commitment to professional standards and internal accountability, stating that the dismissals are part of broader efforts to reposition the agency for more effective service delivery
