    Cadbury Nigeria Appoints Bunmi Lawson as Non-Executive Director

    Cadbury Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Bunmi Lawson as a Non-Executive Director on its Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2024. The appointment was ratified by shareholders at the company’s last Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos.

    Lawson brings over 32 years of experience in finance, insurance, marketing, auditing, and banking to the board. She is currently the pioneer MD/CEO of EDFIN Microfinance Bank Ltd, the first specialized education microfinance bank in Nigeria.

    Prior to joining EDFIN, she was the MD of ACCION Microfinance Bank, one of the largest microfinance banks in the country, and played a key role in its growth to a national bank covering 23 states with 62 branches.

    Lawson has also held various leadership positions, including Executive Director of FATE Foundation Ltd/Gte, a leading business development service provider, and co-owner, Executive Director of VLA Lawrence and Associates, a leading HR services organization.

    She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Spain, and is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS).

    Lawson is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), and a Fellow of several other professional institutions.

    Lawson has attended courses at renowned institutions, including Harvard Business School and INSEAD, and serves as a director on the boards of several organizations.
