Binance executive collapses in Abuja court

Detained Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan, slumped in a federal high court in Abuja today, May 23, where he was arraigned over alleged money laundering.

This played out after the matter was called for continuation of trial before Justice Emeka Nwite. It was gathered that while Gambaryan was being led to the dock by one of the lawyers in his defence team, he fell down. The lawyer then assisted him to sit in the front row seat.

Explaining why his client can’t stand, Gambaryan’s lawyer, Mark Mordi, SAN, then told the court that he’s been indisposed and a written application letter had been filed to notify the court of his failing.

It was further learnt that throughout the proceeding, Gambaryan rested on the arm of the seat where he was sitting.
