ASUS, Konga Launch West Africa’s First Flagship Store in Nigeria

Nigeria’s technology retail industry is set for a major milestone as the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN), is expected to commission an ASUS Flagship Store in partnership with e-commerce company, Konga, on Aug. 3.

The facility, described by its promoters as the first ASUS flagship store of its kind in West Africa, is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s position as a strategic hub for global technology brands on the continent.

The commissioning ceremony will feature the participation of senior executives from ASUS, including its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) General Manager, Mr Aaron Tsai, who is leading a delegation to Nigeria.

According to the organisers, the visit is aimed at reinforcing the strategic partnership between ASUS and Konga while deepening the global technology company’s long-term commitment to the Nigerian market.

The event is also expected to attract government officials, technology industry leaders, business executives and members of the media.

The organisers said the flagship store represents a new phase in technology retail by providing consumers with access not only to genuine ASUS products but also to immersive product experiences, professional technical guidance and enhanced after-sales support.

They noted that the initiative aligns with changing consumer expectations, as buyers increasingly seek trusted purchase channels, authentic products and comprehensive customer support before making technology investments.

Industry stakeholders believe such partnerships reflect growing confidence among leading international technology companies in Nigeria’s expanding digital economy and technology ecosystem.

Analysts also observed that the future of technology retail extends beyond product sales to delivering integrated customer experiences that combine innovation, technical support and brand engagement.

They added that the collaboration between ASUS and Konga could help raise standards for technology retail across West Africa while supporting Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.

The commissioning is expected to mark another milestone in Konga’s strategy of strengthening partnerships with leading global technology brands and expanding access to premium technology products and services for Nigerian consumers.

Observers say the initiative underscores the increasing attractiveness of Nigeria as one of Africa’s largest and fastest-growing technology markets.
