A$AP Rocky Sued Over Alleged Water Damage to Neighbor’s $6.5m Apartment

American rapper A$AP Rocky is facing a $1.1 million lawsuit from a neighbor who claims a leak from his luxury New York condo caused catastrophic damage to her apartment.

The lawsuit, filed on October 30 at the Manhattan County Supreme Court, alleges that a burst pipe in Rocky’s $11 million full-floor loft led to severe flooding in the unit below, rendering it “completely uninhabitable.”

The plaintiff, who owns the $6.5 million apartment beneath Rocky’s, claims the December 2024 incident destroyed fixtures, furnishings, clothing, and personal items worth at least $700,000.

Court documents also state that the residents have incurred over $200,000 in temporary housing and other expenses since the flooding.

The suit blames the damage on the “negligence” of Rocky — whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers — and a local contractor, ADE Pro Painting.

It alleges that workers left windows open during freezing temperatures while performing maintenance, which, combined with heating system issues, caused hot water pipes to burst.

The plaintiffs are seeking a minimum of $900,000 from Rocky’s representative, Tyson Beem, the condo board, and ADE Pro Painting, and an additional $200,000 from the condo board.

In an email to The Independent, the owner of ADE Pro Painting said he had signed a non-disclosure agreement with the rapper and could not share details but noted that his company was also affected and had not been paid for certain services.
