    Good News for Taxpayers: Lagos State Internal Revenue Service Extends Filing Deadline

    Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has further extended the deadline for filing individual annual income tax returns to April 21, 2026, following high traffic on its eTax platform.

    LIRS expressed appreciation for taxpayers’ compliance after the prior extension to April 14, noting the surge in filings and granting extra time for convenience while upholding submission integrity.

    The agency stressed that filing remains a statutory duty, urging all to use the final window via the sole approved channel: https://etax.lirs.net.

    LIRS Executive Chairman Dr. Ayodele Subair reiterated the electronic requirement last Friday.
