BREAKING: EFCC Declares Sujimoto CEO Olasijibomi Ogundele Wanted for Alleged Financial Misconduct

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially declared Olasijibomi Ogundele, CEO of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited, wanted over alleged diversion of funds and money laundering. The development marks a significant escalation in the ongoing investigation into his financial activities.

The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, announced the notice on Friday, September 5, 2025, urging members of the public to provide information on Ogundele’s whereabouts. The Commission’s statement describes Ogundele as a 44-year-old indigene of Ori-Ade Local Government Area of Osun State, with his last known address at G29, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Ogundele is under investigation by the EFCC’s Lagos Command for alleged involvement in the diversion of funds and laundering of money. This follows previous investigations in October 2024 related to a $325,000 real estate fraud tied to the Leonardo project in Banana Island, where a client reportedly paid for a three-bedroom apartment but did not receive the property or a refund.

The EFCC’s public appeal seeks assistance from anyone with useful information to contact its offices nationwide, including Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Lagos, Abuja, and others, or reach out through dedicated phone lines and email addresses.

Sujimoto Luxury Construction is known for its high-end luxury real estate developments in Lagos, particularly in upscale areas like Ikoyi and Banana Island. The EFCC’s move signals intensified scrutiny on high-profile individuals in the real estate sector suspected of using luxury investments for illicit financial activities.

This wanted declaration reflects the Commission’s broader commitment to tackling economic and financial crimes involving prominent private sector actors. The EFCC has warned that all suspects will be pursued and brought to justice in its anti-corruption drive .
