    Lagos Leaders Visit MTN Data Centre Booth, Reaffirming Commitment to Digital Economy @GITEX Nigeria

    In a powerful display of public-private synergy, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat visited the MTN Data Centre booth at the GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo, reaffirming their administration’s commitment to building a thriving digital economy.

    The high-profile visit highlighted Lagos State’s strategic focus on technology as a driver of economic growth and innovation.

    Welcomed by MTN’s Chief Operating Officer Ayham Moussa and Chief Information Officer Shoyinka Shodunke, the delegation explored MTN’s showcase of cutting-edge data infrastructure and next-generation connectivity solutions.

    Governor Sanwo-Olu’s presence underscored the state’s alignment with Nigeria’s ambitious goal of achieving a US$1 trillion digital economy by 2030.

    The visit also reinforced MTN’s role as a key enabler of digital transformation, serving as a “digital backbone” for the country’s tech renaissance.

    During the expo, Ayham Moussa took center stage as a speaker on the panel titled “The Big Push for Infrastructure and Next-Gen Connectivity.”

    He emphasized the importance of collaboration between government, regulators, and private sector players, stating that such partnerships are essential to creating an environment where innovation can flourish and connectivity can reach every corner of the nation.

    The event served as a vivid reminder of the Lagos State Government’s proactive stance in fostering digital inclusion, supporting infrastructure development, and unlocking new opportunities for economic advancement through technology.
