    Abdullahi Mustapha as new Energy Commission Director-General

    The appointment of Dr Abdullahi Mustapha as the Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) has been approved by President Bola Tinubu.

    The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said the President expects the new ECN chief executive to make a positive impact on his administration’s intensive push to diversify the nation’s energy sources toward industrializing every part of the country.

    Before his recent appointment, Dr Mustapha served for over a decade in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). He has significant experience in the energy and space technology sectors
