Arsonists Burn Down Reps Member’s Houses in Anambra

Some unknown arsonists have burnt down two houses belonging to the lawmaker representing the Ihiala federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Dr. Paschal Agbodike.

The houses at Mbosi in Ihiala local government area of Anambra state were burnt down at about 1am on Tuesday, August 8, and it caused pandemonium in the community as people ran out of their houses.

The houses consisting of a fully furnished duplex and a bungalow in the same compound, were completely razed down. It was also gathered that properties in the houses were looted.

Agbodike, a former deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly who confirmed the incident, said no life was lost.

The state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who also confirmed the incident said;

“The area has been condoned and security operatives have been deployed in the area. There are ongoing surveillance efforts by the operatives.”
