    IoD Resolves to Reinvent Actionable Managerial & Leadership Practices @Board Governance Summit in Canada

    Institute of Directors Nigeria (IoD), the premier corporate governance Institute and a leading promoter of ethical professional standards in Nigeria, has concluded its North America Board Governance Summit in Ontario, Canada with the resolve to reinvent actionable managerial and leadership practices across all operational levels in their organisations.

    The Summit, with the theme: “The Chair, the CEO and Leadership Responsibilities”, was attended by delegates from the Central Bank of Nigeria, First Trust Mortgage Bank Limited, Shell Nigeria Closed Pension Fund, Boff & Company Insurance Brokers Limited, Wemabod Limited, Tiddo Securities, amongst others.

    Mr. Dele Alimi, Director General/ Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Directors Nigeria (IoD) said: “The three-day Summit, successfully held between Wednesday 26 and Friday 28 July, 2023 and was unanimously adjudged ‘impactful’ by participants due to the richness of the content, the high quality of the resource persons and the practicality of the delivery methodologies.

    According to Mr. Alimi, the delegates departed with plans of actions to translate the learning into actions on their boards as they reinvent their boards, management practices and leadership pipelines across all operational levels in their organisations.

    He further added that, the Institute has evolved to meet the changing needs of the business world through avenues such as the summit.

    “We have developed other innovative programs and initiatives, which provide a rigorous framework for recognizing and enhancing the skills and experience of directors across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

    “The Institute of Directors of Nigeria has been instrumental to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy”.
