    Prophetess Arraigned in Court over Murder of Church Member

    Prophetess Serah Abuloye, a 49- year-old General Overseer of the All Saints Development Church of Christ, Igbara-Oke, Ifedore local government, has been arraigned in court over the alleged murder of a member of her church.

    Abuloye who was arraigned on two count charges of conspiracy and murder, is accused of killing and dumping 37- year- old Adefunke Aselogbon in a bush behind her church on January 6, 2022.

    The prophetess is accused of committing the offence at about 4.00am along Isarun Road, Igbara-oke in Ondo State Magisterial District.

    Police Prosecutor, Obalasa Ajiboye noted that the offence are contrary to and punishable under Section 324 and 319(1) of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.

    He also asked the court to remand the defendant to Correctional centres custody pending the outcome of advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

    Counsel to the defendant, Mrs Ola Adedire, did not oppose the prosecutor’s application.

    Presiding Magistrate, Damilola Sekoni ordered the remand of the defendant in police custody and adjourned the case till February 18, 2022 for ruling on remand application.
