Obinna Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana, popular night club owner, has been arrested by the men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).
Ravenewsonline.com reports that Obi Cubana was taken into custody for questioning at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
The Chief Executive Officer of popular nightclub with franchise in different parts of Nigeria reportedly arrived at the EFCC office around noon on Monday.
Although details of allegations against the Anambra-born socialite are still sketchy, a source alleged that his case borders on alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
The spokesman of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, said he was yet to be briefed on the development.
Earlier in the year, Obi Cubana made headlines and trended on social media following a lavish burial ceremony for his late mother in Oba, Anambra state.
